I have my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Indiana University and plan on getting my Doctorate (some day) in Early Childhood Education. I also teach full-time at Ivy Tech in the Early Childhood Education department. I love boating, traveling to warm places, playing tennis, grilling out, and hanging out with friends (and my main squeeze – Mike Baker)!

I have been teaching at The Prep School since 2000 and love being a part of this amazing place for young people! I am originally from Culver, Indiana and have a Bachelors degree in Education and Theatre from Wittenberg University. My husband, Rob, and I have three wonderful children: Grace (at The Academy), William (at The Prep School), and James (future Prep School student!). We love to travel, read, go for walks, take pictures, and hang out with friends! Some of our hobbies are traveling, reading, going for walks, taking pictures, and hanging out with friends!

I have a Masters degree in Education from Indiana University and have worked with MCCSC for the past three years while going to school. My Bachelors degree is in Sociology and I achieved that at Grand Valley State University in the great State of Michigan, from whence I hail! I love playing games (board, card, and sports). My wife, Ramona, and I have lived in Bloomington for seven years - the last two of which were shared with our chocolate Lab, Cochise.

My husband, Jayson, and I are blessed with two beautiful children - our daughter Baileigh and our new little guy Rylan! I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement from Indiana University. I enjoy cooking, scrap booking, participating in church activities, and spending time with my family.

I have my Bachelors of arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education From Hillsdale College. My Masters degree is in Special Education. After graduating, I taught in Chicago for ten years. Then I moved to Bloomington, where I began working in the Monroe County Community School Corporation. I have a six year old daughter, five year old son, and seven year old step daughter. My hobbies include running, cooking, reading and spending time with my family. I am very excited to be a part of TPS Academy staff and look forward to an amazing year!

I’m originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but I’ve lived in many states across the country while serving as a linguist in the Air Force and while supporting my husband, Matthew, as an Army wife. Our son, Thomas, attends The Prep School. My philosophy is life-long learning and I strive to create memorable moments with my family.

I am the music teacher at The Prep School and TPS Academy. I also give piano lessons to students at The Prep School! Originally from Kentucky, I moved to Bloomington to study music at IU. I have degrees from Indiana University in Music Performance (cello) and in English. I live in Bloomington with my husband, Lukas, and our pets Badger & Arlo. I am a floating teacher and the physical education teacher at The Prep School and Prep School Academy. My husband, Mike, and I reside on the east side of Spencer with our five year old son, Aidan, who attends TPS, and 4 month old son, Luke. I have a Bachelors degree from Indiana State University in Physical Education and a Child Development Associate from Ivy Tech. I enjoy playing softball, camping, spending time with family and friends, boating, and riding my motorcycle!

Jean Welp - Karate Teacher
I received my black belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1998 at Monroe County Martial Arts and have been teaching since 1996. I began teaching at the Prep School when the karate program was added, but took a one year break in 2008. I love being back and I’m having a great time working with the students of TPSA! I am married and have two sons in college. I also work full time at IU in the Biology Department.

I was born in Colombia, South America. I started my teaching career in my country of origin where I attended Pamplona University to become a teacher. I have also earned different certifications from the British Council in Colombia in the same field. I have been a teacher for 14 years teaching preK-12. I really enjoy working with children ,as I watch them learn in a fun and consistent way. I teach at both The Prep School and TPS Academy!

Bonjour! I grew up in Massachusetts, where I completed a Bachelors degree in Art History and French Studies at Wellesley College. I studied at the Universite d'Aix-Marseille in Aix-en-Provence, France while in college. I also have a Masters degree in French Linguistics from IU. I taught high school French for four years in the Cleveland area before returning to Bloomington with my husband to start a family. I have a 6-year old son and a 2-year old daughter. I also enjoy photography and coaching figure skating at Frank Southern in the Fall and Winter.
Matt Carter
I am a Bloomington-native. I received an Associates degree from Vincennes University in the area of Science and have dabbled in the real estate and property management. My daughter, Loren, has been attending The Prep School since she was nearly three and is now at the Academy. I enjoy sports (go Cubs!), relaxing in the pool, coaching softball, playing poker, and spending time with my wife Donna, daughter Loren, and two Corgis (Sable and Wrigley).

Lindsay Vigil
I was born and raised in Madison, Indiana. I earned an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and in Business Administration from Ivy Tech. I am currently attending St. Mary’s of the Woods College to complete my Bachelors degree! I started working at The Prep School in October 2004! I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tony. I also enjoy camping, fishing, boating, hiking, and going to concerts.

I have been working for The Prep School since September 2009 as a substitute teacher. I enjoy working with the children and working for this organization. I was a camp counselor for two years. I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends! I like being outside and find fun in everything I do.
Kylie Griffith
I am a senior at Indiana University majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. I love working with children of all ages and I find it truly rewarding - I could not see myself doing anything else! My love for working with children has grown even stronger as I have grown older. I am extremely excited about my future career in education and about inspiring children every day!
Taylor Crousore
I am extremely excited to be working at The Prep School and The Prep School Academy this year. I have been a substitute at both schools for the past year and will continue to do this in the Fall. I have really enjoyed my time at both schools! I am from Bloomington, and believe it or not, I am also a Prep School alumnus! I completed Kindergarten at TPS in Spring of 1996. I have an awesome little brother, Benjamin Brown (6), who goes to the Academy and will be in first grade. Currently, I am a student at Indiana University getting my Bachelors degree in Musical Theatre.
Tony Vigil
I started working at The Prep School in September 2010 and enjoy working with the children here. I was born in Chicago and moved to Madison, Indiana when I was eleven years old. I have lived in Bloomington for six years. I enjoy being outdoors, going to concerts, fishing, watching football (Go Bears!) baseball (Go Cubs!), and spending time with my wife Lindsay and my awesome son Jackson!
